Who is Using Digital 1 to 1
TeachersI really love the way this site teaches photography. I'm a working pro videographer/still photographer and often teach photo workshops myself. I'm going to suggest that my students subscribe to Digital 1 to 1 to be able to follow up on my instructions. The "Photo Guys" have a wonderful way of visually demonstrating the concepts that they teach. There are lots of sites out in cyber space that purport to teach photography, but no one does it like these guys do...successfully using using video to connect with the student and demonstrate the concepts. This should be a required course in any arts program. The series is concise with practical information for the novice to intermediate digital photographer. I can always pick up a fact or two and I have been a pro since the 80's. Ken and Santino have a natural playfulness that provides the viewer with a quaint and entertaining narrative. I give it a Four Star Review! |
StudentsI'm very impressed with both the website and the education that Digital 1 to 1 offers. For years, my father, brother and sister have been the photographers of the family; the ones who get the right lighting, angles and such. Through Digital 1 to 1, I'm now able to hop up there with them and take my own frame-worthy pictures. Thanks so much! |
HobbyistsDigital 1 To 1 provides an engaging and informative introduction to digital cameras and clear recommendations that will help everyone take better photographs. The well thought out videos offer helpful tips and techniques in clear language and a very approachable format. Recommended for beginning and intermediate photographers! I love photography, and love to create images where I can make everyone look as beautiful as possible. I had given up traveling with my larger cameras, since I got my cool point and shoot Cannon 850SD. I love Digital 1 to 1's easy to understand and "user friendly" tips. These guys are especially fun to watch, and remind me of my cousin in New York. I love getting such useful information on quick segments. I love your show! I travel quite a lot and want to capture my travels to share with my family. You guys are so good at simplifying - what seems like it should be simple, but isn't to me. There are so many buttons, I can get easily overwhelmed. You guys make my "point and shoot fun. This is an excellent online tutorial for those who never get to read their camera manuals and still want to make great shots to capture those special moments of their lifes to treasure. One moment - one click - a memory to last for ever. Stay tuned and happy. Where were you guys when I first started!!!??? Sure would have avoided every single pitfall you address in your informative and entertaining videos. I like that they're direct and to the point, don't ramble on and on, and take place in real situations, not just the studio. Plus, I love the accents, and you're not bad to look at either. A budding photographer couldn't start at a better place than Digital 1 to 1. I'm thrilled to have discovered Digital 1 to 1! I've never been one to take pictures due to a lack of technical know-how. Each of their how-to videos demystifies and has built my confidence in the process. They've inspired me to carry my camera with me wherever I go, and I'm capturing more of life's moments. I'm really looking forward to applying what I've learned on an up coming trip on Safari! Will you take this picture please? That used to be what I said every time I wanted a special moment captured. I was the first to hand off the camera hoping someone else around me knew what to do. Now, thanks to what I'm learning with Digital 1 to 1 I'm the go-to photographer. I even confidently ask strangers on the street taking one-arm photos if I can help them out instead. I haven't mastered my camera yet, but I also know now that it doesn't bite! I can't wait for more lessons to be posted! |
PhotographersI have known Ken for years and had the fortunate experience of spending time with Ken photographing landscapes in New Mexico where I observed his techniques and creativity first hand and was thrilled he was so candid about sharing his extensive knowledge with another photographer. Being a Professional Photographer I am constantly asked; "Why don't my digital images come out like yours?". I used to answer that question with, "Read a book and buy a good tripod". But since its conception I answer that question with; "Spend some time at Digital 1 to 1, it is the owners manual that you wished came with your digital camera!" Digital1to1 is the most comprehensive "How To" photography site incorporating a vast video library simplifying all aspects of digital photography in a clear and precise easy to understand format. It doesn't matter what type of digital camera you use or what your level of experience is, Digital1to1 has something to offer anyone interested in taking a better digital photograph. Digital 1 to 1 answers most - if not all - of the questions I get asked nearly every day. We all start somewhere, and I can't think of a better place to learn the basics. Even as a lecturer, I've found these tutorials to be informative and helpful. It's one thing to know the information; it's another thing altogether to teach it. There are lots of sites where pros can go to learn about the latest techniques or the latest gear, but Digital 1 to 1 is the only one I know that begins with basic concepts and takes you to the next level. Whether it's an iPhone, a point-and-shoot, or a more advanced digital camera, this is the go-to site that keeps it simple, so you don't have to look through a hundred page manual. First of all, these tutorials are terrific! Plus it is even MORE fun for me to see you both, "appearing as yourselves", in giving instructions and lessons. I have enjoyed photography as a simple hobby for 60 years beginning with a pinhole camera as a pre-teen and now using digital cameras. The only time that photography was not solely a hobby for me was during the two space missions I made in the early 1980's aboard Shuttle Spacecraft when I served the role of "ship's photographer". With luck, two of my photographs from these journeys appeared on the covers of national magazines. But all of my photos would have been far better, had I had access to your photo tutorials. Even as a professional photographer, the digital realm is still intimidating. When a friend asks me for advice on their digital camera, I am hard-pressed to know all the answers. I direct them to Digital 1 to 1 and they come back to say they are relieved to now finally understand more about not only how to use their cameras, but about photography in general. These videos are a valuable tool and they are easy to follow and fun in the process. Ken and Santino provide an entertaining yet comprehensive introduction to basic photography as it is practiced in the 21st Century! Invaluable to new photographers who might be intimidated by technological complexity, this dynamic duo breaks it all down into a simple straight forward presentation that is sure to improve your photography. Who knew taking digital images could be so easy? My pictures have improved already & I've only been on this site for a short time! Digital 1 to 1 is amazing! It's informative, succinct, & very user friendly. I'm hooked! |
MomsDigital 1 to 1 simply GREAT!!!!! I can't say enough great things about Digital 1 to 1. It is user friendly, informative and fun to follow. It's a must see for everyone who owns a digital camera. |
OthersI've been a novice at photography for years, but these guys have helped me understand how to be so much better! Now I'm really getting more creative with my photos - having fun and getting more detail, learning how to frame things better. I recommend this site for anyone wanting to improve their skills. As a professional Competitor and Breeder of Champion Rottweilers for 25 years worldwide, I find myself constantly trying to get great photos of my puppies, dog shows, schutzhund competitions (protection sport) etc. Digital 1 to 1 has offered to me, the novice photographer, the opportunity to learn in a simple way to take professional looking pictures for my ad work, website and most importantly documenting the history of my lineage from birth to champion. It's that simple! Hi Ken & Santino, I just wanted to thank you both for the nice event at the Apple store tonight. My husband, our Chihuahua (Mac), and I were there. Although, we are a bit more advanced now, it is always good to go back to basics in our photography. I purchased my first dslr from Bel Air Camera 2 years ago and a year later, we both purchased our Nikon d7000. It was when I had my first dslr, Sony A33, that I was introduced to Digital 1 to 1. I have learned a lot from you guys. We both have. But there is always room for improvement. Thanks again for making such informative videos and explaining things in a way that we could understand. I still keep the Digital 1 to 1 app I purchased last year as a way to review what I have learned. Thanks again and keep up the great work. We will be sure to tell everyone we know and meet to check your app and site out. As a makeup Artist for film and Television, it is part of the job to track our actors makeup looks from day to day for continuity. Digital 1 to 1 has helped me better understand my camera as to maximize the quality of photos taken on set under various lighting. |
