- The fifth national edition held in Sitges during March 6, 7 and 8, 2018 has broken all participation records with 25% more attendees than in the previous year and around 400 high-level managers from the digital sector, completed more than 2800 business appointments.
- New location, innovation in format and content, 12 group dynamics and 12 success stories and the first edition of "Retail Tech For VC's" of the EGI Booster project, were some of the novelties of the most important business and digital knowledge meeting in Spain.

In the incomparable setting of the Dolce Sitges hotel, Digital 1to1 consolidates itself as the largest business meeting of the digital sector. Three intense days of work at Barcelona where around 400 top-level executives have gathered: CEOs, CMOs, CFOs, COOs of the largest companies in Spain, Institutions, FMCG, Etail/Retail, e-Commerce solutions, experts in Digital Transformation and Digital Marketing among many others.
"The 2018 edition has far exceeded all expectations with 25% more participation and 20% more one to one business appointments between companies and solutions in the digital environment. In addition, the new formats to encourage interaction, debate and participation of attendees - with interactive group dynamics, meeting forums between startups and investors and motivational talks by industry experts - have been received very positively by all attendees. They have been able to take the pulse of the market needs by offering the best solutions that are being developed in the sector through the sharing of ideas and the incorporation of talent," explains Ronan Bardet, Co-founder & Head of Growth at Club Ecommerce, a company dedicated to promoting knowledge and dissemination of e-Commerce in Spain.
Expert lectures, case studies and group dynamics
After the opening talk "Technology and People, the keys to success today" by Xavi Escales, Founder at AlwaysPeopleFirst and CMO of Asics Iberia, the different simultaneous success stories were presented, focused on 6 themes: Digital Transformation, Crossborder, Ecommerce, Digital Marketing, Omnichannel and Mobile with the participation of companies such as SoCloz, PromoFarma, platform.sh, IBM Watson Marketing, Mifarma.es, Improove, Opiniones Verificadas, Bimba y Lola, Sephora, Saba, Splio, TLG Commerce and Volkswagen.
The success stories addressed issues such as the link between e-Commerce and the physical store, digital transformation, improving personalization, conversions, productivity and revenue for e-Commerce, the challenge of omnichannel or how to successfully apply SEO and SEM tools to support sales, among others.
But the 2018 edition of Digital 1to1 also included group dynamics. This 100% participative format was guided, among others, by Magda Espuga of KISS RETAIL Management Consulting, José Carlos Cortizo of BrainSINS, Rafa Romero of Selligent Marketing Cloud, María José Romero of Minsait, Pablo Renaud of Ebolution, Fernando Díaz of Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Arnault Sablier of Global-e, Federico de Castillejo of Sovendus and Alberto Marcos of Correos Express Paquetería Urgente.
Among the main topics were the debate on best practices to increase sales, recurrence or average ticket, marketing automation and artificial intelligence tips, experience and tips to operate successfully in crossborder, the future of physical stores or how to improve the user experience in delivery. One of the most popular sessions was the one focused on Amazon: Enemy to beat or forced ally, by José Carlos Cortizo.

Hubware, Scalia and Metricfy startups winners of EGI Booster Startup Competition 2018
As a culmination of #Digital1to1, a meeting reserved for startups and investors, the "Retail Tech For VC's" was held. New in this edition of RT4VC was a new dynamic debate style *Battle 1to1* around the question: Is Spain the next place to invest? Names such as Farley Duvall from White Bull Summits, Sergio Perez from Banco Sabadell Venture Capital and Romain Vidal from CapHorn Invest participated in this dynamic.
Likewise, the *Round Table* activity brought together experts from the Retail Tech and VC world such as Alexandre Santos from SONAE IM and Oriol Juncosa from Encomenda to give their views on how to successfully invest in Retail Tech startups.
The winners of the *EGI Booster Startup Competition 2018* were Hubware (1st place), the company dedicated to artificial intelligence and machine learning in the service of professional care; Scalia (2nd place), the online platform that allows brands to place their catalogs in one place for retailers; Metricfy (3rd place), the tool for online marketing experts that automates data tracking to simplify analysis.
